Our Story
Kamp K9 began as a family-run pet sitting business started by the “Vann Kids,” Louise and Brian Jr. What began as neighborhood dog sitting and walking quickly grew as their father, Brian Sr., recognized their natural ability to connect with dogs and their families..
With a shared passion for canine care, training, and education, the family expanded Kamp K9 into a full-service facility—built around structure, safety, and respect for each dog’s individual needs. Today, Kamp K9 remains family-oriented at its core, with hands-on ownership and a team that treats every dog as one of their own.

How is your staff trained, and how many dogs does each Kamp Kounselor watch?
Our staff is trained. Each Kamp Kounselor takes 13 hours of training covering dog behavior, body language, and group play supervision. Each Kounselor can watch up to 15 dogs at a time. If we have a bigger group, we bring in more Kounselors.
Is someone on site with the dogs overnight?
No, but we have 24-hour surveillance and the owner is close by.
How do you keep the facility clean and safe?
We sanitize all crates every day and disinfect all walls and gates. All dog bowls are washed and sanitized daily. Floors are swept and disinfected daily. Our play yards are disinfected after each play session, and our Kounselors pick up after the dogs as soon as they use the bathroom and sanitize the spot.
What makes Kamp K9 different from other dog boarding facilities in Orlando?
We are a family-owned facility offering boutique services including training, daycare, boarding, and grooming. We are a transparent facility and share all insights with parents. Because we are a training facility, we manage the dogs from a dog behavior perspective, especially when grouping them for play groups.
We are a free-range facility, meaning dogs are in play groups most of the day during their stay. The only time they are not in play groups during daycare is naptime, from 12pm to 2pm. Our play groups have fewer than 20 dogs, which lets us offer a higher level of attention to your kamper than high-volume facilities. We pay attention to your dog and look for any signs of stress or sickness, and report it immediately to the parents.
Each stay, the kampers write a letter home each day which includes photos and videos of their activities in the play yard.

We are open and available during the following hours:
Day Kamp Monday - Friday 7am to 7pm
Saturday 8am to 6pm
Grooming services are available during:
Monday through Sunday – 8am to 4pm
Grooming appointment pickups available between 12pm to 2pm.
Lobby closed daily from 12pm – 2pm day/overnight kamper pickups. Kampers are napping. We are unavailable to give tours during nap time.
