Welcome to KAMP K9, the ultimate “Mom & Pop” doggy daycare in the East Bay. Yep, we’re not afraid to admit that our philosophies are straightforward, comfortable, and all around down-to-earth. Betty and Chip Cormier are the proud proprietors of KAMP K9, a dream realized in June of 1998. Since opening our doors, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but ours are the best, and they come with a personal touch.

Conveniently located just off I-580 & Crow Canyon Road, we’re nestled on one acre of property in an easily accessible rural area of Castro Valley, offering clean air, sweeping views of the neighboring green hills, and an abundance of interesting birds and livestock in the area. Our facility was specifically designed with your dog in mind. KAMP K9 Kampers enjoy a spacious outdoor playground consisting of pea gravel and grass, fun play structures, miscellaneous toys and wading pools in the summer! Additionally, we are equipped to handle those HOT dog-days of summer and have installed misters and fans along our covered patio area, ensuring the utmost comfort.

And, we haven’t forgotten the necessity for good potty behavior. For those cold and rainy days, we’ve got them covered – literally! Our indoor Activity Center keeps them warm and dry, and features an oversize “dog door” which allows them access to our covered outdoor area. A permanent structure with a “greenhouse” type roof covers a portion of our outdoor pea gravel/patio area and is always accessible to provide shelter. This area can also be enclosed, to ensure additional safety and comfort. Even on cloudy, rainy days, the greenhouse roof allows lots of filtered light into the playground. Just like us, dogs LOVE and thrive when there’s lots of natural light.
KAMP K9 is fantastic!!! We have been bringing our 12 year old lab there since she was a little pup. Attending KAMP K9 has helped keep her young - she still gets excited every time we pull into the parking lot, and she gets to play with old friends and new ones. We now have 2 more young labs who go too. It's great - they get socialized, play all day and come home happy and calm. All the dogs are screened before they can come for day care, there's a limit on how many dogs can be there at the same time, and the dogs are extremely well supervised to make sure everyone plays nice and is safe and happy. KAMP K9 is by far the best doggie day around!

We have been taking our two Boston Terriers almost every Thursday for over 12 years. Our dogs love it ! Chip and Betty Cormier have created a wonderful, well supervised environment for all the dogs who go there to play and socialize. It's been really beneficial for our dogs to have this special time as they hardly even notice other dogs in our neighborhood when they are home. All we have to say the day before is "Do you want to go to KAMP K9?" and they are wired until we put them in the car the next morning. They sleep the entire day after which is why we take them to Kamp before we travel with them in a car on on an airline. We recommend KAMP K9 over all the imitations around. We did our homework and we are really pleased with our choice, and so are Shasta and Squirt (our Boston Terriers).
