Kamp K9 is a licensed Dog Daycare/Boarding organization providing products and services related to caring for dogs. In addition to daycare and boarding, we provide grooming, training and general merchandise. Housed in a newly renovated and safe facility, located in the Central Florida area.
Kamp K9 is family-owned and operated. Our owners operate the business with a foundation in our core values: integrity, reliability, service, trustworthiness and the utmost excellence in animal care. We strive to provide superior services to our clientele, pet owners and their dog(s). Our clients trust us by placing their “family member” in our care while they are away. Our goal of providing a clean, safe and fun environment to allow dogs to socialize and play constructively motivates us while maximizing profits. We believe our values will guide us to financial success while providing exceptional services to our clients.
Kamp K9 grew from a pet sitting business started by the “Vann Kids”. To earn money, Louise and Brian, Jr. founded the company. They focused on providing dog sitting and walking services to families with dogs in their neighborhood. Their father, Brian, Sr., realized the family’s passion for dogs while helping his children pet sit. The family decided to expand the business.
Brian Sr. grew up with dogs, his family bred and showed confirmation. He was a Junior handler. His hobby is training dogs. He loves working with his Labrador Retreiver, Mabel. He has a passion and love for dogs as well as helping families train their 4-legged family members. With 20+ years of business experience including a Master of Business Administration, Brian is committed to establishing Kamp K9 as a leading dog daycare/boarding organization in the Central Florida area.
A dog grows from puppyhood to adolescents to adulthood in a very short period (1yr to 3yrs). During these different stages, dogs’ behaviors change. Adolescents need to learn behaviors beyond basic obedience (sit, down, come). As the dogs become adolescents, they become more interested in other dogs, people, things then they did during puppyhood. Adolescents need to know how to behave in different social settings and family activities. Kamp K9 delivers training programs customized to fit the dog’s needs no matter the stage of life.
We help families assimilate the dogs into their routine/lifestyles as opposed to the opposite. Nothing is more important to a new pet owner than bringing home a puppy. At Kamp K9, we teach pet owners how to develop a well-mannered, well-behaved dog who comes when called. A Kamp K9 trained dog, knows how to behave in different situations, understands their place in these settings and doesn’t jump on guests.
Kamp K9 created a puppy program to educate families from pre-puppy preparations, to understanding how to handle the first few nights at home with bring home the pup to basic obedience, manners training and loose leash walking.
The puppy program is customized to the puppy needs. It consists of 5 training sessions typically once a week.
Basic: sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and loose leash walking.
Advance: proper greetings in home and while walking, longer stays, wait, and mat training and more…
You have worked on the basics but now what? My dog jumps on people with they visit, or my dog lunges at people/dogs while walking. My dog begs for food while we eat. Does this sound familiar. Manners and Situational training starts where basic obedience training ends. These sessions are customized to simulate your social or family situations. Working with the dog in the simulation environment it allows for many practices.
During the Stay and train program, your dog stays in a home environment. We individualize the training plan based on the dogs needs, desired behavior improvements, breed and age. We simulate situations happening in a home to teach manners and desired behaviors in a variety of situations.
